Each class has at least two fully accredited teachers. In addition to their educational competence and
experience, our teachers are chosen for their enthusiasm, warmth and sensitivity to children's needs.
Our teachers are specialists in early childhood development and focus on teaching the whole child in
a nurturing environment.
Teacher Linda        3s Teacher
I joined LCC Preschool in 2000. Before coming to work here, I worked in various
childcare settings, including Allen Creek Preschool, Ann Arbor Michigan, and Heads
Up! Early Childcare Center in Palo Alto. Allen Creek was a school founded by
psychologists, and Heads Up! encompassed a Montessori philosophy. Prior to
working in the early childhood field, I graduated from South College, Northhampton,
Massachusetts with a Masters in Social Work. For 10 years I worked as a clinical
social worker at an outpatient mental health center and at a hospital in the Boston
area. I enjoy sharing with children a life-long pleasure in learning. I also enjoy
working with parents and participating in the challenge and joy that comes with
nurturing children.
Teacher Judi        2s & 3s Teacher
I’ve been teaching at LCC Preschool for the past 11 years, ten of those as a 3s
teacher! The last three years I have added the 2s to my repertoire! I love my early
childhood teaching career as it encompasses all the modes of teaching and life,
such as sharing in the young child’s wonder, joy, and curiosity through dancing,
singing, literature and science. I strive, along with my co teachers, to nurture and
nudge children to become their most secure and happy selves. My husband and I
raised our 3 children in Redwood City and are now blessed with 3 granddaughters
and a grandson!  Our lives revolve around family here in California and on the East
Coast. Besides a love for teaching, I am also fascinated with different cultures and
traditions. I enjoy swimming, fine dining, gardening, and the beauty of nature!
Teacher Judy        2s & Pre-K Teacher
I started at LCC Preschool in the 3s class in January of 2010, working on my
practicum for my Early Childhood Certificate. Since then I have joined the 2s team. I
love to work with and be around children. Teaching is my passion! In my time off I
like to go to the movies, go for walks, and watch TV.
Teacher Cara        Pre-K Teacher
My family and I relocated  to California 9 years ago from New Jersey. I have a degree
in Elementary Education with a specialty in Sociology. I have been working at LCC
Preschool  for eight years, following in my mother’s footsteps who was also a teacher
here at LCC Preschool! I began my teaching experience in the 3s class, and
eventually added some hours in the 2s program. I now have the opportunity to
include the 4s program to my resume! I am married with four children ages 15, 13,
and 9 year old twins; we live in San Carlos. My life is a full and busy one, for sure!!

Teacher Anghelika        2s Teacher
I started at LCC Preschool in the Fall of 2010. I was raised in Athens, Greece and
made my way to Vermont where I attended Bennington College, received my B.A.,
met my husband and then moved to California. I soon after received my Early
Childhood Certification and have since taught preschoolers and their parents in the
Bay Area on and off for the last 15 years. I believe children learn through play- and it
is a teacher's job to create a safe space for children to test new materials and
concepts, to cheer them on in the journey from exploration to mastery, to fan
creativity and to model compassion and care as they learn about the world.  I am
also a Mom to two wonderful teenagers.

Teacher Jennifer        2s & 3s Teacher
I have been on staff at LCC Preschool for 24 years. I graduated from San Jose State
with a Social Science, Elementary Education degree. My favorite way to spend my
time off is cooking and working in my garden. I love the changing of the seasons and
the holidays. My special talent and passion is for arts and crafts. I love watching
children grow and discover new things. Even after all of these years in early
childhood, I am continuing on with Early Childhood Education classes to gain a
better understanding of the NAEYC standards and child development.

Teacher Erin         Pre-K Teacher
I started at LCC Preschool in the Fall of 2010 in the Pre-K Tuesday/Thursday class. I
moved here from Kansas with my husband and two young children in the spring of
2009. I have an early elementary education background and have taught for 5 years.

Teacher Andrea        Pre-K Teacher
I am the newbie at LCC Preschool this year and will be teaching the Pre-K class. I
look forward to a fun and exciting year.
My goal is to promote cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth of the whole
child, and to build a positive self-concept, by providing many experiences that enrich
and enhance each child’s development.
My philosophy includes encouraging young children to develop at their own pace by
enabling them to explore, create and experiment naturally in a safe and stimulating
environment within a pleasant atmosphere. I use inquiry teaching to incorporate the
child’s emergent interest. I like to stimulate and reinforce children's curiosity , and to
provide children with opportunities to be exposed to a variety of contexts, topics and
activities through hands-on participation. I am hoping to incorporate lots of science,
nature and environmental activities into the curriculum.
